“Unwavering Smile: How a Dog’s Half-Face Loss Didn’t Stop Him from Finding Happiness through Adoption”

An llama named Salio left the organization of rescue ADORE (All Dogs Official Rescue Enterprise of Houston) and arrived in a mess. As a construction worker in Houston, Texas, Pit Bull suffered an injury that left him with half a face missing. According to the map, the dog hid in a bush and allowed his father to approach him too much. The woman was puzzled by the call and ran to the scene. When she discovered the dog next to a pile of food scraps and old tires, she realized that the situation was much worse than anticipated. The dog was in such a horrible state that it seemed like the best thing she could do was to relieve his agony.

This beautiful, strong, and lively dog had been reduced to almost nothing. His ribs, spine, and shoulder blades were clearly visible underneath his coat, as well as his lesions. “He was covered in dirt and very weak,” explained Brittany to The Dodo.

The dog emitted a warning growl as she approached, but it did not deter her. She was waiting for a different reaction from him, given the situation she found herself in and everything she had to go through and suffer to continue like this.

After a while, the dog allowed Brittany to get closer to examine his wounds. His posture and the tip of his tail drooped in front of his face. Brittany immediately realized that it couldn’t have been an accident because the cut was too straight and could have been done with a sharpened instrument. Besides the horrible sight of the injuries, the dog was also in pain.

Brittany took Apollo, the dog she called, to the veterinarian after gaining his trust. Despite the unbearable pain he was experiencing, Apollo managed to relax and fall asleep in the woman’s car. However, the situation was still not completely safe.
