Last year, a resident of Nassau, Bahamas named Rosie Kemp discovered a baby raccoon that had fallen out of a tree. Unfortunately, the mother raccoon was nowhere to be found. In response to this situation, Kemp and her daughter Laura Young made the decision to take care of the raccoon themselves. They named her “Pumpkin.” With time, Pumpkin recovered from her injuries and became a part of the family. She now thinks she is a dog, and she loves to follow Young and her two rescue dogs wherever they go. Young has observed that Pumpkin loves playing and being rough with the dogs, but also respects their boundaries when they have had enough. It’s clear that Pumpkin has found a loving home with Young and her husband.
The poor creature was left alone, but Kemp and her daughter showed kindness by taking her in as their own.
Right off the bat, she clicked with both us and our two rescued pooches.
“She never leaves my side, tagging along with me and our two furry companions wherever we wander.”
The current belief is that she has transformed into a canine.
One admirable trait of hers is the ability to play and engage in roughhousing with ease, while also knowing when to back off and give space to those who have had enough.
Being a parent to her is no easy task as it requires my complete attention and effort round the clock.
“Their intelligence is simply incredible.”
In my opinion, they possess the capability of conveying their feelings effectively.
