This heartwarming video shows a protective golden retriever standing by his little friend, a girl, while her mom reprimands her. The girl and the puppy, Harry, have become inseparable companions, sharing a strong bond. Ms. Sun, the mom and camera operator, was upset to discover her new face cream torn open and played with.
“I was pretty bummed out, to be honest. I had just purchased the cream and it was already half gone,” said Ms Sun, 32, in an interview with MailOnline. “My daughter started crying because I was yelling at her pretty harshly.” In an attempt to protect the crying girl from her mother’s anger, Harry stepped in between them.
He also seemed to growl at Ms. Sun in an attempt to get her to step back. She described it as both amusing and surprising. Ms. Sun said her frustration immediately disappeared when Harry intervened.
Harry attempted to console the sobbing child by placing his arm around her shoulders. Ms. Sun shared, “Despite feeling upset, I also found it amusing. It was a truly heartwarming moment. Dogs will always find ways to show their affection when they are treated with care and respect.”
It seems like Harry has a habit of looking out for his young friend, as this isn’t the first time he’s jumped in to defend her. The mother shared, “Every time we raise our voices at her, he goes over and shield her with his paws. He’s truly devoted to keeping her safe, he would even risk his own life for her.”
